SHIPPO Self produced works of April (4) 4月の自主制作(4)

The coronavirus situation has increasingly become tense in Tokyo these few days.

We have been suspending our SHIPPO and Glass fusing classes from March due to the global virus outbreak. Prayers for people affected by the virus, and that the outbreak will cease as soon as possible. In the meantime, those who have electric furnaces at their homes have been working hard to improve their techniques. We are now posting these new works, together with the previous works of the members made during the happy days. We will post the beautiful works as long as we can, since we believe that posting the works are a regular routine of a daily life. Moreover, it may be myself that is most comforted and relieved by posting the members’ beautiful works.

It is very important to maintain a healthy body and mental health during these hard times. Everyone, please do take care. Through every dark night, there's a bright day.

首都圏でもいよいよ状況が切迫してきました。私たちのサークルでは先月に引き続き今月も七宝焼きとガラスフュージングのクラスを自粛しています。世界中の人々に、一日も早く日常生活が戻ってきますよう祈らずにはいられません。このような困難な状況ですが、自宅に炉を持っているメンバーは自主的に作品の制作を続けています。ここではそれらの新作とともに、以前教室でメンバーそれぞれが楽しく制作した作品をアップしています。そしてこれからも今まで通り、これらの美しい作品をアップし続けたいと思います。それが大切な日常だと思っているからです。何よりも、これらメンバーの制作した美しい作品をアップすることが、私自身にとって慰めになっているのかもしれません。

この困難な時期、心身の健康を保つのはとても難しく、そして何よりも大切なことだと思います。皆様、くれぐれもご自愛ください。明けない夜はない、と信じています。
